The South City Institute of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation successfully organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop on 2 January 2026, conducted by the Pakistan Life Savers Team (AKUH).
The workshop was designed to equip students with essential emergency response skills required in critical situations. Participants received hands-on training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), airway management, and basic emergency care, focusing on immediate actions that can help save lives.
Through practical demonstrations and guided practice, students learned how to assess patients, respond calmly under pressure, and apply correct techniques during medical emergencies. The session emphasized patient safety, teamwork, and quick decision-making — all crucial skills for future physical therapists and healthcare professionals.
Such training programs reflect the institute’s commitment to providing practical learning experiences that go beyond classroom teaching. By arranging workshops like this, South City Institute continues to prepare its students to handle real-world clinical challenges with confidence and professionalism.
